About the Sharpening mini-Masterclass
 
It's time to touch up the tools!
 
Coming up on Tuesday evening 6.30pm February 3 at the Wood Play Studio is a Sharpening mini-Masterclass featuring local legend and guitar maker Gary Rizzolo.
 
During this two-hour event we will cover the hard fundamentals of this essential art including:
 
Sharpening edge tools such as chisels and plane blades using water stones presented by Gary Rizzolo
Sharpening card scrapers
And using the Tormek to sharpen all sorts of things
 
This Sharpening mini-Masterclass is designed to offer the audience an insight to how our attending professional craftspeople sharpen their tools efficiently and repeatedly. The event will start with a "by the book" overview of sharpening fundamentals, followed by Gary sharing his individual approach.
 
And this is not your usual demonstration, this is a forum. As we move through the demonstrations the floor is fully open so you can ask all your burning questions.

About Gary Rizzolo - Rizzolo Guitar Company
 
A true custom guitar maker, Gary Rizzolo builds a wide range of instruments, from archtops, steel string, classical, ukuleles, electric guitars and basses from his studio in Brunswick.
