What is the Brunch Club?

After a big working week, what better than to head to the workshop and get on the tools. To help you achieve this, Wood Dust is now offering a regular Saturday Mornings Woodworking workshops where you can do exactly that.

What happens in the workshops?

Participants in these workshops are free to pursue their own projects at their own pace supported by in-house woodworker John Madden. You will have access to a full array of equipment including benches, hand tools, machinery, sharpening and finishing gear. You will also have access to John's extensive knowledge of material, woodworking processes and design.

The biggest advantage of joining this group is overcoming the challenge of staying organised and motivated with your craft. Everything required is provided, you can walk in and just start working as a member of a small committed group of enthusiasts. If you hit a road block, John and the group can help you work through it so your piece stays on track till completion. You have ready access to advice on how to complete a process, if your design idea works or not, and what material or finish to use and when. All this and you can enjoy a coffee and chat along the way.

How does the Brunch Club work?

All you need is an idea for a piece, or a piece that's in progress you want to complete. You can supply your own materials, or we can assist you with materials purchasing. Wood Dust supplies all general consumables including adhesives, tape, sand paper, templating materials (MDF) and basic finishes as part of the workshop price.

With your piece in mind, simply purchase a block of four Brunch Club tickets to book into the Saturday workshop, John will contact you to confirm your schedule. Tickets to the Brunch Club do not need to be used sequentially, just talk to John about when you want to attend and he will book you in. Your first session will be all about planning your project and assessing the skills you wish to develop. The group is limited to four to ensure you receive all the support you need.
